Whether you’re looking for a private evening for two or activities your family and friends can enjoy with you, Folly Beach & Charleston offers a little of everything this Valentine’s Day.

1.  Romantic Dining On The Beach @ Blu

Blu is serving up a special menu for lovers on Valentine’s Day. Indulge in a “3 course meal” which includes your choice of Lobster Bisque, Crab & Avocado Salad or Oysters on the Half Shell. For the main course, indulge in your choice of NY Strip, Seafood Risotto, Curry Braised Lamb or the Fresh Catch of the Day. Share a dessert and enjoy a White Chocolate and Strawberry Creme Brulee, Chocolate Decadence Cake or a Peanut Butter & Banana Cannoli. This ocean dining experience is $99 per couple, February 12th-14th.

2. Run in your Skivvies: Cupid’s Undie Run @ Loggerhead’s

Cupids Undie Run1

Feeling a little fresh and want to get in on for a good cause? Cupid’s Undie Run is happening on Folly Beach on February 13th. People will be lining up at Loggerhead’s in their skivvies for a 1 mile run/walk on the beach to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation. While showing up in your underwear is encouraged, you’re not required to do so. Costumes or regular running attire will suffice. The benefit is one of many throughout the country that raised $3.5 million last year towards NF, a rare and deadly disease occurring in one out of every 3,000 births. Registration for the event is $55, and the party starts at 12pm. The actual run, which includes ½ road and ½ beach, begins at 2pm with a hot after-party for participants in celebration of their success.

3. Cuddle Up And Get In The Mood @ Jazz on the Edge

Jazz on the edge

Head to Locklear’s for Jazz on the Edge with local musicians from the Charleston Orchestra coming together to provide some of the most intense sets you’ll experience on Folly Beach. The fun begins at 6 and lasts until 9pm. Enjoy some specialty cocktails from Locklear’s and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets off of the Folly Pier.

4. Go With The Flow: 3 Hour Cruise through the Charleston Harbor

Charleston Sailing Charters is offering special charters to help personalize your proposals and engagements to make them unique and special. The private 3-hour cruise sails you through the Charleston harbor past historical monuments, such as Fort Sumter and the Battery, and underneath the majestic Ravenel Bridge. Professional photography by the captain himself will capture the special moments between you and your loved one, and you can share the occasion with your closest friends.

5. For the Whole Family:  Love Like Animals @ Southeastern Wildlife Expo

If you’d like to get out and enjoy the outdoors but don’t want to spend time on the water, head down to the Southeastern Wildlife Expo in downtown Charleston. The event begins on February 12 until Valentine’s Day and includes demos from the Center for Birds of Prey, Chef Bob Waggoner, and demos about proper cast netting. Learn how to identify deer and how old they are. Peruse the art exhibits and see many winning works of art created by local students. Or, you can do it doggy-style and head to the Dockdog competitions and Retriever Demos.

6. Carriage Ride Through the Historic Streets of Charleston
