Folly Holiday Weekend Weather

This weekend is the last weekend before Christmas. You could spend in over-crowded stores looking for Christmas presents that you might not find, or you could spend the first full weekend of winter on always-beautiful Folly Beach.

After some rain at the end of the week, the sun will come out on Saturday, but temperatures will remain in the mid-50s during the day and the low 30s overnight. But clear skies mean there is a 0-percent chance of rain all day long.

Sunday morning is the Christmas Cantata at the Folly Beach United Methodist Church beginning at 9 a.m. And in the afternoon, carolers from Folly Beach Baptist Church will tour the island in their parade float to spread Christmas cheer. While the skies might be cloudy, the temperatures will be slightly warmer, reaching 59 during the day before dropping to an overnight low of 34 degrees.

Monday is Christmas Eve, and the temperatures will reach the mid 60s, and lows will be in the lower 50s. A few clouds will stick around, but it isn’t supposed to rain on people attending Christmas Eve services at any of Folly Beach’s churches.

Christmas day could bring some rain showers. The chance of rain increases to 40 percent throughout the day. But the holiday on Folly will be warm with a high around 65 and a low of 55, just remember your umbrella if your Christmas plans include a walk on the beach.follybeachchristmastree-300x201
