843-588-9414Father Richard Summey, who is related to Charleston County District 3’s City Council Member Elliott Summey, is the pastor of Folly Beach Baptist Church. He is dedicated to opening the House of Worship to many who visit the island and wishes to plant nuggets of faith throughout the world. In doing so and under his guidance, the Congregation has ministered a multitude of souls needing spiritual, emotional, and sometimes physical help. The Church’s mantra is, “love the Lord our God with all our hearts, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.”  The Church is open to any who wish to attend, and you may choose to visit during the following schedule.Sunday School starts promptly at 9:45am.Sunday Morning Services begin at 11am.Special Events are scheduled often, so please refer to their Weekly Schedule, as it changes throughout the year. http://www.follybeachbaptist.com/weekly-schedule

843-588-2336Holy Services of the Mass have been occurring on Folly Beach since as early as 1937. The first services held at the current location happened on Christmas Day in 1950 after two lots had been purchased ($3000 total) with construction beginning in 1949. Severe damage created over $7 billion in damage, for which the Diocese assisted with recovery efforts. The Church has undergone many changes throughout the years, and many parochial vicars have passed through the doors. Fr. Barbick currently leads the Church during Mass, and he has been a major supporter of the collaboration between the Folly Beach churches. Our Lady of Good Counsel’s services are listed below.Saturday Vigil Mass is at 5pm.Sunday Mass is at 9am and 11am.Wednesday at 9am.Thursday at 9am.First Friday at 9am.Confessions are on Saturday from 3:30-4:30pm.

Baptisms are by appointment.

Weddings require at least a 6 month notice.

His weekly inspirational quotes remind us of God’s love and how we should reach out to those who are less fortunate. The Church’s Memory Garden allows family and friends to offer condolences to lost loved ones, as well as share their memories with visitors. The doors are open to all. Their schedule is as follows.Sunday Morning Worship begins at 9am.Sunday School begins after Sunday Morning Worship at approximately 10:15am.
