Wiki Wiki Sandbar

Folly Beach’s tropical hotspot for creative coastal cuisine, exotic drinks, and live music, Wiki Wiki Sandbar’s menu focuses on local seafood, fresh island flavors, and top-notch cooking techniques presented in a festive atmosphere at reasonable prices. Located along the main drag at 15 Center Street, Wiki Wiki is open daily for lunch and dinner, with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Beautiful, handcrafted art and island décor adorn their bright and colorful interior.

Their cooking concept reflects a fusion of Hawaiian and Southern influences, showcasing items like Fish Curry with eggplant and coconut, and slow-cooked meats including Kalua Pulled Pork, paired with grilled pineapple, pork jus, pickled red onions, short-grain rice, grilled corn, and jalapeno coleslaw. Wiki Wiki’s authentic Poke Bowl is made with fresh-caught fish and comes with your choice of spicy tuna or shoyu tuna mixed with short-grain rice, seaweed salad, mixed greens, avocado, masago, and tempura crunch. Their Shrimp Louie Salad with local poached shrimp from Tarvin Seafood, hard-boiled egg, avocado, and edamame will make you a certified member of the Clean Plate Club.

And what Hawaiian menu would be complete without Spam Sliders, a tribute to the island’s obsession with Spam and Wiki Wiki’s ode to delicious Hawaiian party food, topped with brown sugar, sambal aioli, and pickles on a King’s Hawaiian roll.

On the American side of things, there is the Avocado, Bacon & Crab sandwich on a brioche bun and two burger options, the Skillet Burger and a vegetarian burger called the Harvest Burger, which blends a beet-mushroom-walnut patty in a soy glaze. You can also have the fresh local catch of the day prepared in three ways: on a sandwich, on pasta, or a bed of greens.

Let the luau commence with one of Wiki Wiki’s shareable appetizer plates, including their unique twist on Ceviche with local fish, avocado, Castelvetrano olives, and cilantro, served with tortilla chips, perfect for a pre-or post-beach meal. The Smoked Fish Dip features local fish, crème fraiche, lemon chives, and tortilla chips. If you like some crunching in your munching, try their Super Crispy Wings, which are double-fried with Huli Huli BBQ and Wiki white sauce, or their Coconut Shrimp with coconut panko and sweet Thai chili sauce. To sample a variety of items at once, consider ordering their Pupu Platter for the table.

They also offer a kid’s menu of hot dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, fries, and macaroni and cheese if your children aren’t quite ready to broaden their culinary horizons.

For dessert, taste their pineapple Dole Whip Sundae, Wiki Wiki’s take on a soft serve-style sweet treat, with your choice of toasted coconut, sprinkles or macadamia nuts, and whipped cream. Wiki dispenses your standard sodas, but since this is a Hawaiian-inspired venue, you can also order the non-alcoholic tiki drink All Tiki No Freaky, a cool mélange of fresh fruit juices, passion fruit, vanilla, and lemon served in your choice of mug (you get to keep the mug as a souvenir).

Featuring more than 60 of the world’s best rums, Wiki Wiki is ideal for a Sunday Funday excursion with your friends. Sip on a handcrafted libation like a Jungle Bird, mixed with Rum Bar Gold, Campari, Giffard pineapple, lime, pineapple juice, or a La Bodega blended with Rum Bar Silver, papaya, guava, and Jasper’s Basic Stock. You can even drink your dessert in the form of the Pineapple Incident, a mix of pineapple Dole Whip, Rum Bar Silver, lime, and whipped cream.

If you’re not a cocktail person but are still in the mood for an adult beverage, Wiki Wiki also carries a small wine and beer list. Join them for happy hour Monday-Friday from 4-7 p.m.
