National Margarita Day: Where To Get Your Margarita Fix On Folly

Happy National Margarita Day! Folly Beach offers an abundance of bar and restaurant options where you can celebrate this famous cocktail concoction, whether you prefer yours frozen or on the rocks, with a salted or an unsalted rim.

Taco Boy-For the perfect pairing of tacos and margaritas, stop by Taco Boy, a funky taqueria on Center Street. Fan favorites include the pineapple-infused margarita, blended with pineapple, cinnamon and vanilla-infused Reposado tequila, fresh OJ and their house-made sweet & sour mix. Another winner is the blood orange margarita, mixed with Taco Boy Barrel Select Patron Reposado, Triple Sec, agave nectar, lime juice and blood orange juice. If neither of these selections strikes your fancy, you can always check with their bartender for their rotating specialty margaritas

Rita’s Seaside Grill-As you make your way further down the main strip toward the beach, duck into Rita’s Seaside Grill. Enjoy one of their refreshing margaritas on the outdoor patio, with plenty of choices from the basic ‘classic’ to sweet fruit flavors such as blueberry, strawberry or coconut. Or spice up your drink and order the jalapeno-cilantro margarita, a patron favorite.

Pier 101 Restaurant and Bar-Continue your margarita march toward the beach and swing by Pier101 Restaurant and Bar for a touch of the traditional. Grab their frozen margarita or the margarita 101, featuring Espolon Silver tequila, fresh lime juice and Grand Marnier. Relax with your beverage in hand and soak up the beautiful oceanfront views the Folly Pier provides.

BLU Beach Bar and Grill-Now that you have arrived at the beach, it is just a hop, skip and a jump to meander over to BLU Beach Bar and Grill to sample their BLU Rita, a blend of tequila, Grand Mariner, Blue Curacao and margarita mix. Bask in the beach front vistas and order some fresh seafood to cut that alcohol.
