The 9th Annual FollyGras Parade & Street Festival
The 9th Annual FollyGras Parade & Street Festival is Saturday, Feb. 6th on Folly Beach.
A Mardi Gras celebration like no other, FollyGras has quickly become one of the island’s most anticipated community events.
A few new additions have been added to this year’s event, such as a children’s pet parade & kids activities throughout the day, as well as more food, art & nonprofit vendors as years past.
As always, the festival is free to attend. However, we will have multiple ID check stations set up at either end of Center Street, in front of Rita’s and Avocet Properties. Anyone wanting to have an adult beverage in the street, outside of the bars, will need to purchase a wristband at one of these locations for $1.
Center Street will be closed at 9:30 a.m. Any cars left on the street are subject to towing.
Parade Lineup will start at 10:30 a.m. on 1st & 2nd Blocks of W. Arctic Ave.
The parade will begin at noon or shortly thereafter, with a street festival immediately following.
A kids activities area will be set up in the Dunes Properties parking lot. Local artisans & nonprofits will be set up on the street between Hudson & Huron Ave. Center Street restaurants will have food booths set up in front of their businesses throughout the duration of the parade & festival, serving off-menu & seasonal fare.
There will be live music by Gaslight Street at the corner of E. Arctic Ave. & Center Street, Soul Fish in the W. Cooper intersection at City Hall, The Shakin’ Martinis in the W. Erie intersection at Black Magic/Dunes Properties, and multiple bands with a crawfish boil in The Grill & Island Bar parking lot at Center St. & W. Huron Ave.
