Picnicking
Picnicking on Folly Beach
Of course, you may picnic anywhere on the Folly beaches, but if you prefer to have
the conveniences of shelter, tables, grills, dressing areas, showers and restrooms you are
best advised to take advantage of our beautiful Pelican Watch facility at our County Park at the west end of Folly Beach.
To get there, simply take West Ashley all the way to the west end of the Island. The
street will dead-end into the State Park.
Folly Park amenities include 2500 feet of ocean frontage, 200 feet of river frontage, dressing areas,
outdoor showers, restrooms, boardwalks, picnic areas, and a snack bar (seasonally). Boogie
boards, bicycles, umbrellas, and chair rentals are also available between Labor Day and
Memorial Day. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, also. |
