The Charleston IMAX Theater

Visit the only 3D theatre in South Carolina! The Charleston IMAX Theatre is amazing. The screen is over 5 stories high and 77 feet wide, and it also supports 3-D movies! With the 12,000 watts of state-of-the-art surround sound you'll find the Charleston IMAX Theatre is a never to be forgotten experience. The Theatre has 422 seats in a stadium arrangement, so there are no bad views. Opened in June of 2000, the Theatre is located next to the South Carolina Aquarium in the Aquarium Wharf area, making it perfect for escaping the summer heat or winter chills.
